Need for Vitamins

HEALTHIn order to grow and develop normally for a person a substance namely vitamin is must. They can be grouped as fat soluble and water soluble. Each vitamin will do some specific jobs. There are totally 13 vitamins out of which some vitamins like vitamin D and vitamin K can be synthesized within our body itself. We have to intake other vitamins via food. During the metabolism the particles are divided into many small particles as nutrients. The vitamins are generally more in fruits when compared to the other foods. Deficiency of these vitamins results in diseases. Some of common known diseases are night blindness, beriberi, pellagra, rickets and scurvy. Vitamins tablets are available in markets.
But remember that too much intake of vitamins also causes some diseases such as vomiting, nausea and diarrhoea. Each vitamin is helpful in specific activities. For example vitamin A is necessary for the necessary vision. Deficiency of vitamin A causes eye defects and problems in vision. Vitamin B helps in making of more red blood cells. Vitamin C helps in building of muscles. Vitamin D helps in strengthening of bones and teeth. Vitamin E takes care of lungs and vitamin K takes care of formation of blood clotting cells.
